Drossel's First Photoshoot

My Drossel arrived today! I ordered from Otacute and I am VERY happy with their service. They shipped my order quickly via EMS. Once she was sent, she arrived in 3 days! They sent her in a nice size, sturdy box packed tightly and even gave me a very cute keychain/strap thing. I will be using Otacute as my main site from now on! I suggest others do the same as well. You won't be dissapointed.

Now for what you came here for - Ojou-sama herself! Here's a group shot with her sisters Miku, Haruhi, and Louise:

Drossel enjoys Haruhi's accessories. Here she's pretending to go to school:

Then she takes Miku's leeks and strikes a pose:

Sharing some stories and educating her new sisters:

"I should be in a fashion magazine..."

"Show me your moves!"

Time to take a break:

"An extra gift from Otacute! So kawaii!"

"Finally, it's lunch time! We never had food this good at Tempest Tower!"

Drossel is so much fun to pose! If you haven't gotten her, now's the time! Otacute still has her in stock for only $26.50. You won't regret it!

The Newest Member of the Family: Haruhi!

Introducing the newest member of the family, Haruhi Suzumiya! I got the Summer school version from toylet.net with the money left over from selling my iPod. I initially sold it to get Drossel, who should be shipping out on Monday! Anyway, she arrived on Friday and Miku was very happy to get a new sister!

Miku and Haruhi and getting along pretty well! She was happy to share her cookie with her new sister :)

I really like Haruhi, she's very posable, looks good, and I was even lucky enough to get the limited edition school bag! Once Drossel comes next week (yes, I paid $18 for EMS shipping, SAL makes me too nervous), I'll have a nice group to take photos with. As much as I like Haruhi, I'm most excited for my ojou-sama! I paid for my pre order on Thursday night as soon as Otacute told me they were on stock. Slowly but surely, I'll get a nice collection!

A Walk Among Flowers

I've built up quite a backlog of photos over the past two weeks. I was sick for a while, my mom had pnemonia and almost got admitted to the hospital, then my internet was down for a few days. So yeah, busy :) These are some pictures I took in my backyard:

Anyway, my mom likes to walk around and look at plants and trees, and she's the one who found these backgrounds. I have no idea what the tree with pink and orange flowers is or what the purple flowers are. The dark red flowers are mums and I bought those at the local grocery store for $1.99. Great deal!

Also I have some good news - I preordered Drossel for the October re-release! I can't wait! I hope everything goes well and that Miku will have a new figma friend by the end of the month. I'm probably going to stick with figmas for a while because of their great poseability and affordable price tag. Once I find a job though, I'll probably start saving for a dollfie. It's really a pain not having a job. I'm going to buy a bike soon so I can start getting around and looking for places that are hiring. Got to keep moving forward! Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy the photos.

Welcome home, Louise!

Louise finally arrived all the way from Japan this morning! It's a long journey from Japan to Illinois so I decided to let her out of the box...

After this picture, of course.

Here she is in her room.

Miku stops by to welcome her, but she's startled by this tall blue haired person.

She also managed to get into a fight with Saber.

She's a little stressed out from the ordeal.

Hey, a familiar face! But something's off...

She's crying again! But now she takes things into her own hands....

"No one can escape the power of tsundere!"

But in the end, Louise manages to find a new friend, and her new home is pretty good after all. Louise's room background and the Saito standees came with her. She was the Hobby Stock exclusive version. I got her from Tokyo Hunter's ebay store. She was only $34, but I ended up paying $24 shipping for EMS because I didn't want to wait, plus I didn't want her getting lost with SAL shipping. I really love her, but I'll probably get another Figma first. I'm hoping I can get my hands on the casual clothes Saber or the Drossel re-release. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the pictures of Louise's first day in the U.S.!

Forest Preserve Visit

These are some of the pictures I took at the forest preserve last weekend. I didn't get too many because the sun was setting and I was getting eaten up by mosquitos. I only got a few shots of Miku herself, I didn't take Saber out because she was heavier and harder to pose. Anyway, these were my favorites of the batch. I don't know the names of any of these plants, trees, or flowers, unfortunately.

Not a lot of figure shots, and you're probably tired of seeing Miku, right? Well, I've fixed that - I ordered the exclusive Hobby Stock version of the Louise nendoroid. Hopefully she'll be shipped tomorrow. I ordered EMS shipping, it cost a lot but she should be here next week. She'll be my first REAL nendoroid, plus she's super cute, so I'm really excited :) I'm sure she'll be terrorizing Miku and Saber when she gets here! I'll be taking lots of pictures, so stay tuned!

Introductory Post

After getting hooked on collecting from Tomopop, I started to get interested in figure photography after seeing so many great pictures. I decided to make a blog to post my pictures. I don't expect a lot of people to see this, but I still enjoy posting pictures, anyway.

Here's a shot of my workspace:

Small, but it does the job. At least I get a decent internet connection in this spot. Now, let me introduce my figure family.
The star of the show, figma Miku:

Her grumpy older sister Saber:

Little sister Nendoroid Miku, who I later found out was a fake. I couldn't just throw her out though:

And Balthier and Ashe, Play Arts figures from Final Fantasy XII:

That's all for now. I have some pictures from a trip to the local forest preserve, but I'll make a post of those later. Welcome to my blog!
