Monthy Megapixel Preview

Here's the intro picture for my Monthy Megapixel post on Tomopop.

Will probably finish the story by this weekend. I'm hoping we'll get a less than 90 degree day soon, but it's not looking good :( We're also looking for a new apartment this month, so picture opportunities have been scarce. It's been stressful too, I wish it was already done with so I could look for a part time job and focus more energy on the blog.

Here's to hoping we find a decent, cheap place by the end of the month! I promise the next post I'll have cool photos and I won't bore you with personal stuff :)

Azone Louise - PAID!

Wooo! Just sent the payment into Mandarake a few minutes ago. Got my receipt from PayPal, now I have to wait for Mandarake to confirm and ship her out. It's 3 AM in Japan right now though so it will be a while!

I think the UPS guy though I was nuts. When he showed up with the check I needed, I was quite happy. Like, jumping up and down happy. Yeah.

Whatever, the money's here, I sent the payment, awesome. Now, to wait.....

Marisa and Miku - Safe at Home!

Yay! My package from Otacute containing figma Marisa and Mini Miku with pull-back car arrived Saturday afternoon. Crappy USPS tracking never updated and was making me think they'd never arrive. I haven't taken many pictures of Marisa because she's a limited figma and I don't want anything to happen to her (my figures and I are accident prone). But here she is:

The rest of the pics are of Mini Miku and Tako Luka.

Miku steals my iPod and hides on my blanket:

These pics were taken in the hallway because sadly that's the best I had for lighting.

Really, I will do a proper photoshoot - one of these days! Next post will be of Tako Luka devouring a package of Milky Way candy bars. I already took the pictures, but I want to make a separate post. 'Til then, enjoy!

Nendoroid Luka Megurine

Please welcome the newest members of the family, Nendoroid Luka Megurine and Tako Luka! -

They arrived via FedEx Home Delivery this afternoon. Despite many horror stories I've seen about this service, I have yet to have a problem. Her box, in excellent condition, was placed on the porch around 1:15 PM. My landlord noticed it and placed it inside by my door. I removed the shipping label with my address :P

I ordered her from OtakuFuel, and I have to say so far I'm very happy with them. I would recommended them if you live in the U.S. I placed my order on Saturday, and they actually processed my order on a Sunday! Shipped out on Monday, and arrived today. Inside the box was Luka, who was again in mint condition, the usual order slip, and an awesome freebie - a yummy snack of fruit gummies! I don't have a picture of those (I hadn't eaten yet!), but here is Luka -

Tako Luka took a quick liking to my dog, Zefie -

I know I don't have many pictures, but by time I started taking them the lighting wasn't very good. I'll have more tomorrow.

And in very sad news, my order from Otacute still hasn't arrived. it's been at the New York ISC for over a week and I'm losing hope that I'll ever be seeing it. Although I'm glad Luka arrived safely, I'm still pretty upset over my first order going missing.

A Second Order? It's True!

In a twist of luck, I found a gold bracelet I thought I had lost. Where? In my dog's crate. Yeah, he's a hoarder. Well, I don't wear a lot of jewelery, and the bracelets I wear I make myself with Swarovski crystal beads. I prefer having cash over a tiny little bracelet so I sold it, gave some of the money to my mom for breakfast and gas for the car, and spent the rest on a nendoroid.

I ordered her for $35 from OtakuFuel, plus shipping. I was already close to being over budget so I had to go with the cheapest shipping available, which was FedEx Home Delivery. Now it's making me kinda nervous because of all the complaints about FedEx, although I personally haven't had any problems yet (knock on wood!).

Which leads me into my next bit of news, decidedly less happy. My package from Otacute was sent out almost two weeks ago. It arrived in New York (which I don't get, I live like an hour and a half away from Chicago...), and it's been sitting there for a week. It took less than one week to get halfway around the world, and now according to the tracking, it's been sitting in one friggin' spot for another week.

I used registered SAL. My Saber Lily nendo arrived in only a week and a day via regular SAL. Should I be worried? What does all that USPS coded language crap mean? Has the black hole in New York's sorting center eaten Marisa and Miku alive?

I hope not. I hope I can report that everyone arrives safe and sound at the end of the week.

Latest Order: Marisa & Miku and More Photos!

I still didn't forget, although I bet everyone forgot I was here, ha ha.....:(

Anyway, I still don't have a camera, I will have to wait a little longer until my mom gets her settlement. But then I can pick a camera as long as it's around $100, and Live Stage ver. Miku if I can find her. My Miku is in pretty bad shape after so many photos and being carried around so much! I feel bad, so I want to get her a stunt double :P

I did just order figma Marisa Kirisame from Otacute! She was going out of stock before my eyes, but I managed to snag one of the last 3 before the went totally out of stock moments later. I also couldn't resist ordering the Miku and spring onion pull-back car. So, I ordered both with registered SAL. It still takes longer, but its track-able and insured. According to my number, they were sent out of Tokyo on the 30th around noon. I really hope they don't take forever to get here!

So here's what I ordered, pictures are from toylet.net:

Yep, I'm pretty excited! I hope they arrive quickly and in good shape like nendo Saber Lily did! Next, I did hang on to my memory card, and there were a ton of pictures I didn't get to post, so I'll share some with you :)

I don't think I ever got a chance to post pics of my casual clothes Saber, so here she is. To be honest, I'm not really that fond of her. Quality wise, she's decent, although her hair bow came off like within a week. But she's just kind of dull. I don't think she has the personality of my other figures. But maybe that's just me. I was dissapointed though because since I can't afford a lot of figures, I want every one to be great. Luckily this was the first one I didn't like so much.

Sorry you had to listen to me complain :( If anyone sees this, thank you, as always, for stopping by!

EDIT: Quick question - does anyone know where I can get some good glue that works well on figmas and nendos? Preferably at a store, but online is okay. Thanks in advance.
